  • Who can benefit from our services?

    Our services cater for small to medium-sized business owners, freelancers, self-employed individuals, and anyone seeking professional assistance with their personal or business finances. We particularly enjoy working with businesses and individuals who can see the value and efficiencies gained through working digitally.

  • What are your opening hours?

    Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 1pm. We are flexible, always aiming to meet our client’s requirements and business needs wherever possible, so also offer appointments outside these hours, if required.

  • How do I become a client?

    To become a client, please get in touch with us by booking an appointment [insert link here], calling 01761 255850, or emailing amy@harrisaccountancyltd.co.uk. We’ll arrange a free discovery call or meeting (up to 60 minutes) to discuss your requirements.


    Following this, as a paperless, cloud-based accountant, we will send you a digital proposal and letter of engagement to begin the onboarding process. Once the signed documents are received, you’ll receive a client portal registration link and an introduction email to our team at Harris Accountancy.

  • Who makes up the team at Harris Accountancy?

    The team at Harris Accountancy is made up of four dedicated professionals:


    • Amy Harris, our director, who oversees every aspect of the client relationship to ensure exceptional service.
    • Claire Peniket, who specialises in accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and providing expert support for accounting software.
    • Amy Racey, who works closely with Claire to assist in accounts preparation.
    • Caroline Ricardo who efficiently manages payroll and administrative tasks.

    Together, our team combines expertise and personalised attention to support all your accounting needs.

  • Can you help with taxes, VAT, and compliance?

    Absolutely. We assist with personal and business tax filing, VAT returns, and tax planning to ensure compliance with regulations and align with your financial goals.

  • What do I need to provide for tax preparation?

    You’ll need to provide details of all income, expenses, and relevant tax documents. We’ll supply a detailed checklist to guide you through the process.

  • What bookkeeping services do you offer, and can you help set up a system?

    We provide day-to-day, monthly, or quarterly record-keeping, bank reconciliations, invoice management, and financial reporting.


    We can also help set up or improve digital bookkeeping systems tailored to your needs.

  • Do you work with specific accounting software?

    We are accredited in QuickBooks Online, Xero and FreeAgent. If you require another software provider, let us know and we will adapt where possible.

  • Do I need to provide receipts and invoices regularly?

    Yes, regularly providing receipts and invoices ensures your accounts remain accurate and up-to-date, allowing us to work with the most current information rather than relying on historical data.

  • Do you offer payroll services?

    Yes, we provide payroll processing, RTI filings and compliance management with a 48 hour turnaround or less if agreed in advance.

  • Can you manage pensions and employee benefits?

    Yes, we can guide you on pension schemes and other employee benefits, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • What are your fees, and do you offer free consultations?

    Our pricing is transparent and tailored to your requirements. We also offer a free 60-minute consultation to discuss your needs and how we can help.

  • How do you protect my data?

    We adhere to strict data protection standards, including full compliance with GDPR, to ensure your information remains confidential and secure. Your details will never be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
